Samahita Retreat lies on the south coast of Koh Samui, a tropical island in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Samui is only about an hour away from Bangkok by air, an hour plus from Singapore, and three hours from Hong Kong. The island has the allure of a remote island paradise but with the accessibility of the region’s most popular destinations.
Situated on Laem Sor Beach, near the well-known Laem Sor Pagoda, Samahita is about 45 minutes drive from the airport, 35 minutes from Chaweng shopping area, 25 minutes from Lamai shopping area, and 20 minutes from Nathon, the picturesque port town of Samui.
Quiet and Exclusive Yet Accessible
Samahita Retreat is surrounded by towering coconut trees in a quiet, spacious area, with incredible sunrises and sunsets that play with the colors of the water, sand and tropical fauna. The beach is non-touristy and virtually undisturbed, creating a beautiful, peaceful setting for you to enjoy your Thailand stay. This side of the island is protected by a natural reef. The tide varies across the year where mid-year months are low swimming times, except for the boat channels.
The main shopping areas are still within easy reach, about 20-30 minutes away by car or motorbike. However, the beauty here is Samahita Retreat’s gentle setting, inspiring long, refreshing walks on the beach or through the meandering green back roads. You may see a water buffalo grazing or families of chickens running free. Enjoy other activities at Samahita.
