I chose Samahita Retreat Centered Yoga to do my 200 yoga teacher training after doing a lot of research and also a recommendation from a teacher.
I wanted to delve deeper into yoga to go beyond asana and get an understanding of pranayama, philosophy and anatomy. What I came out with after an intense month was just that and more. It opened up a completely new understanding and way to live. It gave me the guidance I was looking for to fully embrace yoga into the rest of my life and I love it.

Anatomy classes were fun and full of vital information giving me useful understanding of the body’s range of mobility, body systems and engagement of muscles. Philosophy classes were easy to understand and directly relatable to everyday life. Learning the chants and Sanskrit was challenging and fun. Learning the new asana sequence and having the space for self practice under the guidance of qualified teachers was enriching.

My biggest shift after being home for a month is the pranayama, chanting and meditation. In essence our “morning practice” whilst at samahita, is now my regular morning practice wherever I am. I love waking up and starting the day with the daily chants, energy circles, gratitude meditation and my pranayama prescription, tailored for me by Paul.
The teachers all have expert knowledge to share and they all teach from the heart. My own teaching is growing with confidence and naturally falling into place, from my own regular practice and from my heart. I am truly grateful for the wonderful education in yoga I received at Samahita.

Thailand is a stunning destination and the location of Samahita Retreat on beautiful Koh Samui is second to none, with delightful people and facilities. The samahita retreat has everything you need for a most comfortable peaceful stay. I can’t wait to come back one day.

Lot of love
