I have recently completed the Centered Yoga, 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Samahita Retreat in Thailand and embarking on this journey was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.

It has been such a rewarding experience. I have been practicing yoga for about 9 years and wanted to deepen my own personal practice and also feel confident to share safely with others.

I first heard about the course while practicing in Bali with a teacher who had been trained by Paul Dallaghan and subsequently taught at Samahita Retreat. I was inspired by her style and approach. Further positive first hand recommendations assured me that this would be a good choice for my studying and my high expectations were greatly exceeded.

My practice has mainly been Ashtanga Vinyasa but I wanted to push out from the rigidity of the structure it can sometimes impose and also have the ability to accommodate all levels of students looking to explore a broader range of postures and sequences. The course content details lead me to understand that the training would give me the breadth of knowledge I was looking for in a teacher training and I wasn’t mistaken.

I was extremely happy with the teaching of all subjects of the curriculum and the teaching faculty are amazing. My biggest area of growth was the Pranayama. I had very little knowledge of this before the course and no idea how profound the breath work is. This alone made the whole course worthwhile and I feel I have very valuable skills to take away with me and weave into my everyday life.

My gratitude to all of the Centred Yoga team.
