It’s Easy to Travel and Stay at Samahita

  1. Travel by air from approved countries

Currently, Thailand has approved quarantine-free entry for arrivals from Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, UK, USA, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Individual must have been in country of origin for at least 21 days.

Please note, if traveling via Bangkok it’s best to book directly with the airline and ensure that your flight is a round trip to Samui on one of the special sealed route flights: PG5125 or PG5171.

  1. Apply for Thailand Pass QR code

Visit the official government website https://tp.consular.go.th/ to apply for a QR code. This code will be required at immigration.

  1. Negative COVID-19 RT-PCR Test Result.

A Medical Certificate with a RT-PCR lab result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected issued no more than 72 hours before traveling

A Medical Certificate of Recovery is also required from those having a lab result with COVID-19 detected to show recovery from COVID-19 within 3 months.

  1. An insurance policy with minimum coverage of US$50,000

Insurance should cover the cost of treatment and other medical expenses associated with COVID-19 infection, including in-patient hospitalization for the duration of stay in Thailand.

  1. Payment confirmation for not less than 1-night stay upon arrival at approved quarantine facilities (Alternative Quarantine – AQ, Organization Quarantine – OQ, or Alternative Hospital Quarantine – AHQ), or SHA Plus certified hotel.

Book your first night’s stay in an AQ or SHA+ authorized hotel at your port of arrival. The prepayment should cover the 1-night accommodation, the required RT-PCR COVID-19 test, and an Antigen Test Kit (ATK). Then come and stay with us at Samahita once you receive your negative test result.

  1. A Certificate of Vaccination (fully vaccinated)

For those fully vaccinated, proof includes a Certificate of Vaccination with a vaccine approved by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) (see here) or the World Health Organization (WHO) (see here) not less than 14 days before their travel date.

For those having recovered from COVID-19, proof includes a Certificate of Recovery within the last 3 months AND a Certificate of Vaccination with at least one dose of the approved vaccine at least 14 days before their travel date.

Children under 12 years of age, traveling with their parents or guardians, are exempt from this vaccination requirement, but must have a Medical Certificate with an RT-PCR lab result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected issued no more than 72 hours before traveling.

  1. Undergo Entry Screening

Cooperate with health screening and Immigration procedures upon arrival at Thailand’s International Airport and submit required documentation officials.

  1. Upon completion of immigration checks travelers must proceed to the pre-arranged COVID-19 test centre OR the reserved accommodation to undergo the required RT-PCR COVID-19 test on Day 0-1.

Travelers must download and install the specified alert application MorChana (this will be available via QR code at airport). Travelers must then remain within booked accommodation until test result is confirmed. This should be available within 24 hours.

  1. If testing negative for COVID-19 travelers are free to travel throughout Thailand

Each traveler will receive an ATK (covid test kit)

If experiencing COVID-19 symptoms traveler must immediately test themselves using the provided ATK.

If experiencing no symptoms, travelers must use the provided ATK for COVID-19 self-testing on Day 6-7, and show the result to our staff, as well as record the result (both detected and non-detected) in the MorChana App.

  1. If traveling from outside approved countries.

If traveling from country not on approved list – The quarantine period will remain 7 days for travelers who have been fully vaccinated with the approved vaccine, 10 days for air arrivals who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 14 days for land arrivals who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
